For Vapor’s 25th anniversary, Bauer is looking to upgrade the Vapor line to the best it can be for the speedy, agile payer. The Vapor X5 Pro is the next upgrade from the previous 3X Pro and offers a wide range of high-end features. The Youth variation uses a fibre composite pro boot with a fibre composite pro youth quarter package, and Comfort Edge lining material for a truly comfortable skate.

Skate Fit Profile

The Vapor X5 Pro Youth skate comes in 8-9 Full sizes only and 10-13.5 Full and Half sizes. This skate is partially moldable and only available in D (Regular) sizing.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

The Youth X5 Pro hockey skate incorporates a quarter package made of fibre composite pro material, which offers a lightweight and durable construction. This material provides just the right amount of stiffness and responsiveness to allow for efficient energy transfer on the stride.

Liner & Internal Padding

The Youth X5 Pro hockey skate is equipped with a hydrophobic liner, specifically designed to repel moisture and keep the foot dry and comfortable throughout the game. Additionally, the skate features a comfort edge on the ankle and memory foam throughout, ensuring a plush and cushioned fit that minimizes discomfort and friction.

Lacing System

The Youth X5 Pro hockey skate incorporates a traditional lace facing, offering a familiar and time-tested method for securing the skate. With this traditional facing, young skaters can easily adjust the tightness of their laces to achieve a personalized fit, ensuring optimal comfort and performance on the ice.

Tongue

The Bauer Vapor X5 Pro hockey skates come equipped with a youth pro stock 40oz felt tongue, which is sturdy with exceptional protection against lace bite and impact to ensure maximum comfort and support during intense gameplay. Its design ensures a nearly professional-level fit, feel, and responsiveness, encouraging confident skating on the ice.

Steel/Runner/Profile/Blade Holder

The Youth skate is equipped with an LS Pro II holder, which provides excellent stability and responsiveness on the ice. The LS1 steel runner further enhances performance, offering superior edge retention and durability, crucial for younger players developing their skills.

Toe Cap

The Youth variation uses a standard toe cap, designed to fit a variety of young players looking to get into the game of hockey.

Insoles

The Youth X5 Pro hockey skate features a footbed constructed with mid-density foam, which provides adequate cushioning and absorbs impact, reducing fatigue during extended periods of play and offering a balance between support and comfort. The foam contours to the shape of the foot, ensuring a personalized fit and enhancing overall stability on the ice.

Graphics

Compared to the new HyperLite 2, the X5 Pro takes a darker grey appearance, with silver and red highlights near the heel and in the liner. The Youth variation includes even more red highlights along the side of the boot.
